Our Facility

Unlike agencies and sourcing companies, our in-house capabilities enable us to seamlessly manage projects from start-to-finish, providing you with transparent production plans, on-site quality assurance and confidence in our project control. Proportion London’s 400 m² and Kesslers’ 38,000 m² factory run 24/7, supporting large-scale mannequin manufacturing.

The team at Proportion don’t just build products—we create the kind of wonder that’s revolutionized the visual merchandising industry. It’s the diversity of those people and their ideas that encourages the innovation that runs through everything we create.

Our History

Proportion London descends from Siegel and Stockman. Founded in France in 1867 by Frederick Stockman, he began trading in Great Britain in the early 1920s, manufacturing hand-crafted Papier-mâché bust forms and torsos for workrooms, couture house design studios and dressmakers’ showrooms.

During the early part of the 20th century, department stores became big retail business introducing the need for bust forms and display figures for their professional window-trimming teams. This led to a huge increase in business and diversification into more display fixtures and fittings, meeting the growing demand to buy mannequin products.
